Admissions

The College of Athletic Training at Pacific University is committed to educating the outstanding trainers of the future: those who practice compassion for patients and uphold the highest standards of personal and professional ethics. We evaluate our applicants based on their individual strengths in the areas of professional experience, academic achievement, communication skills, and extracurricular activities.

Clinical Experience Time spent working or volunteering in a clinical setting prepares applicants for success in our program. It is recommended that applicants to the Masters in Athletic Training program have 50 hours of work, volunteer, or observation experience completed at the time an application is submitted.

Interviews Interviews are a critical element of our review process and are conducted via web conferencing. During the interview, we evaluate candidates’ knowledge of the profession, commitment to a career as an athletic trainer, ability to think clearly and logically, self-confidence, and verbal expression of ideas.
